I am new to posting here, but have always enjoyed polling through others solutions here to help me in my own dilemmas...

However now, I have searched and searched and come up with nada.

My problem is this:

Replaced

MAF Sensor
EGR Valve Position Sensor
Both o2 sensors
EGR Valve

Codes Pulled

336
337 these 2 pulled Continuous

172 - pulled KOER

Now the issue for me is this:

The 2 vacuum hoses attached to he DPFE sensor (valve position sensor) will blow off the sensor, or blow off the exhaust tube running into the egr valve. They seem to do this when trying to climb a hill or asking the car for more throttle. I have considered replacing the EGR vacuum regulator (sensor) but do not want to throw any more money at this problem without getting some seasoned advice.

What would cause these hoses to blow off? Also, my X has an extreme loss of power and notably so when accelerating on the highway trying to pass, or just get moving. It feels as though there is something blocking the flow of exhaust or something so that I cant have any more power. Could this be due to a catalytic converter issue?

Recently I had the transmission rebuilt as well (at around 160k) and it also seems to be shifting strangely, like 1-2 is at about 3800 rpms.. and when it does shift, it shifts hard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Check for ATF fluid in your vacuum lines. If so, you need a New tranny vacuum modulator. A little over $100 installed, it made a big bifference in my 1994 EX. It would backfire throught the intake and blow my vacuum lines off at the Tree (Plenum?). Also try some new hoses w/ clamps on the EGR sensor.
