I just recently bought a 1994 ranger 4cyl.
The a/c compressor does not kick on when I press the a/c button (The light lights up though).
I ran 12 volts to the compressor and it does spin. I did some research and changed the WOT relay, still no luck.
I pulled out the WOT relay and put 12 volts to the center/right pin in the fuse box (under WOT relay) and the compressor kicks on.
I tried switching with a working relay and still no luck.
I have done a lot of searching and I have found every thread saying something else (Bad PCM, low freon, bad WOT connector, etc)
Does anyone know a way to fix this? Its getting hot and really makes it hard to stay cool in the little single cab.
Is there a way to just run 12 volts to the compressor with a toggle switch in between to manually control the a/c, or is this dangerous?
Thanks,
Austin
