1994 XLT 'ABS light'?

My ABS light came on yesterday after I hit the brake really hard. It went off after I stopped at a store. What does this mean?

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the stock 91-94 section. Did you ever replace the part on the master cylinder that cancels the cruise control? It was a recall.
