They are the same solenoids. You could test them with an Ohmmeter just like the TPS.

Plan to swap out the TPS since a under $20 part. also been shopping for the correct 3-4 shift and TCC solenoids. Some on eBay list A4LD kits with both solenoids but for only up to 1994 Aerostar. Is the 95 A4LD different?
Ok, got back to the A-Star. Have not installed any new parts as yet. Re-checked for any codes. Ran KOEO and KOER tests. Both resulted in "111" (good). Took it on a short interstate spin. Low and behold it shifted into overdrive and ran that way for about a minute. Then it started shifting back and forth from 3rd to OD, then back to 3rd. I slowed down to 60 mph and shifted into 3rd and drove the rest of the way. Is this a solenoid symptom?
