I have a 1995 Explorer Eddie Bauer LTD. One of the issues that I've been dealing with is electrical. I discovered that the relays in the back panel were wet and causing the alarm to go on/off. When I remove the relay, the clicking still goes on but the lights don't flash, however, it also kills the door locks and dome light. I'm pretty sure I have the right relay.
From what I have read, there is a way to disengage the alarm by removing the drivers side door panel (which I don't have the knowledge or the tools). Obviously cutting the wires on the relay won't really make a difference because the car still is acting like the alarm is going off minus the flashing lights. I just want to make it so that if it does get wet again that I won't wake up the next morning to a dead battery. Any thoughts? (and thank you in advance).
