Yes I purchased new autozone pushrods and rocker arms. What should I do now? I forgot to mention that it also now runs with a put or major misfire along with the louder ticking noise.

Whats the length of the new push rods?

What was the sequence that you tightened the rocker arms?

There are a few diff size push rods for the 410 cam. If all 12 of your lifters are good, there maybe too much slop between the rockers and push rods if they are to short.

I think a lifter is stuck down or what ever or the front bolt came loose and my pushrod fell out of place but why is my truck now misfiring

Problem could be deeper

These 4.0 engines are notorious for lack of oil under the valve covers when the cam bearings have some wear on them......replace the affected pushrods and rockers, go to full synthetic oil if you haven;t already, make sure you aren't using a more restrictive oil filter.....

I just went through this exactly....no noise now

I doubt seriously the lifters are bad.

(JUST MY EXPERIENCE)

Hi, I'm just goin througt this same issue, what would you guys say the lack of lubrication on the valve train is from? Could the oil ports to the head be clogged? I currently have my engine taken apart down to he heads and don't seem to find any visual damage. The noise accelerated to the extreme right after my last oil change in which I added lucas. Either way, I already have the engine taken apart and would like to clean the oil ports to the head/ valve train except I can't find them, any advice would be appriciated..

My experience:
I did go through the same problem and ended up being low oil pressure at warm engine, idle (mesured it with a real pressure gauge).
Replaced the oil pump, used some AutoRX cleaner to free the passages... Nothing helped. Probably the cam berings are worn out and the oil flows freely thru there. I have no deep cranksahft noises so I think those berings is still OK.

I am running Rotella 5W40 oil now and the pressure is good enough.
