1995 LTD

Question? My heater will not switch over to any other position besides defrost. Will not go to the floor or vents. same with the A/C. The LTD has the digital temperature control.
Anyone have the same problem or know a solution?
Checked all fuses.

Welcome to the site! I have some good news and bad news.

Good news is you.. found the site.

Bad new is it sounds like your blend door is busted (a very very common problem in 95-97s). Do a search for blend door for more info than you care to see!

My temp works fine though! gets hotter and colder. Most of the blend problems are "only heat etc." I just can not get my vents to change from the defrost. They will not blow to the feet or vents even on MAX AC.?

HELP!

Sounds like the auto climate control is going into default mode, which puts in into defrost...

Luckily, you can actually pull codes out of the unit. Here is what AllData says how to do it:

Turn ignition to run position with the EATC on (electronic automatic temp. control). Simultaneously push and release the off and floor buttons, and within 2 seconds, push the automatic button. The test may take up to 30 seconds to complete. When it is done, any codes found will be displayed in the display screen. Record all codes and then press the blue cooler button to exit the test. Let me know if you come up with any codes, and I will hopefully tell you what they mean and how to fix them.

Thanks for all your help and info. I found a cracked vaccum line. problem fixed!
