I recently purchased one of those cold air intakes off of eBay. I saw the Mac one on here, mighta been a better idea.
Problem is, I now have a 96' 4.0 with the MAF sensor in the filter cylinder. The filter setup calls for the square type inline MAF sensor, like I had on my Gen 1 Explorers. I realize now that I probably will need to purchase a newer (maybe 98') MAF sensor to get it all to work, being as the intake came with the hookups but not the sensor.
My question is: do they make a connector for the different MAF sensors or am I going to have to splice wires? I vaguely remember my older x's having a white connector somewhere on there like my 96' does but not sure.
Either way, anyone have any advice on how to remedy this? Besides go buy the mac one? lol. I'm already assuming I'll most likely have to run to the junkyard and grab one with the wire harness attached.
