1996 Explorer Center Console Question...

I have a 1996 Explorer XL and it did not come with a center console from the factory, but i am interested in getting one. The console i am looking at is the long factory console that extends from the back of the front seats to the front dash. I am aware that the console fastens by brackets to the side of the front seats, but i am curious how it connects to the front of the dash??? Will this console work with my truck? Thanks, any information is appreciated.

Do you have an automatic or a manual transmission?

If I remember right there is a bracket for the front also. May have to go to a junk yard or go to a body shop and get the part #s and try the on line Ford parts people.
