Hey all,
Changed the MAF on my 4.0, was running lean, Oxygen sensor is making the truck very unreliable and the old MAF wasn't functioning properly (Did the unplug test).
Prior to the new MAF I was running lean, due to a bad cat and exhaust leak. New MAF almost immediately yielded a P0102. Wondering if this is related to the new MAF, or the ongoing exhaust problem that needs to be addressed?

I suspect you got a bad MAF sensor, or if it is just the sensor you replaced, not the entire assembly it mounts to, then there is the potential it could instead be a clogged filter screen in that (if it has one).

Assuming the replaced sensor is good, I would suspect connections. Unplug the connector. There are four wires. With the key on, the red should have +12V, the black should be connected to ground. The light brown/red and tan/light brown go to the ECM, pins 88 and 36. Unplug the ECM connector and check continuity. Also check that these two wires are not shorted to each other or to ground.
