I want to get some lift on my explorer. Its a V6 4WD. Looking at both a suspension lift and or a body lift! I was talking to some people about a 3 inch lift. I need to know which one to get and where to get it. I assume Jc Whitney or summit? There is also no lift kits for the 1996 Ford Explorers. i was told to use the ranger lift kits? Need Help

Thanks

couple questions you need to answer first...2wd or 4wd? body lift or suspension lift...you can get 2" real cheap by cranking up the t-bars and putting on some shackles...

yeah, they dont make body lifts for our year explorers...you have to use one that is for the ranger...i dont have any experience with body lifts but from what i hear, it is pretty easy to make the ranger body lift work...that would be your chaepest bet to get 3 inches...while your at it, crank the t-bars, add shackles, and throw some 33's on that thing...you could always get a 4" suspension lift from superlift too...i believe the body lift number is 883, and yes, you can pick them up from summit.
