1996 Ranger XLT
Hi guys new to this forum I live in Duugandan ,Queensland Australia and I am looking for upgrades to our 4.0 ltr Ranger nothing to big just to give it a bit more pock , 25 or 30 HP would be good as we are pulling a 18'caravan and could do with a extra horse or two on the hills .
The Ranger is a 1996 40.ltr auto dual cab 4x4 with just over 167, 000 ks on the clock or 102,000 miles ,so any info or where to look would be great .
Thanks great resource .

Hi Larry, welcome to the forum.
First thing that came to mind was a supercharger, although I have no idea if they are still available for this engine.
Another option might be to regear your axles. Depending on what ratio you now have, going deeper could give the desired result.
Smaller cheaper things would be a free flow air filter with a and exhaust, but that would be a nominal HP gain.
Others may chime in with suggestions.
