Man am I glad to find this website. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season. Happy New Year to all. Now on to the problem.
It started a week ago, as I was leaving my wife's workplace, the front end felt as if it were binding up and at first I thought I may have a CV joint bad at the RF wheel. I checked it at home and found nothing wrong. Today as I was getting lunch it happened again and I had a fellow mechanic look and listen to what it was doing and it was thought to be a U-joint in the front driveshaft. After work I replaced the front u-joint and dissassembled the CV joint at the other end and repacked it. Seemed ok until halfway home when the 4HI and 4LO lights flashed in unison 6 times and after getting home I found that the 4WD is inoperative. Please help, thanks, DaveWC.

Welcome to the site Dave:chug:

I'm moving your post to our transfer case and transmisison forum where it will get more views.

PS... take a look through the sticky threads (first group of threads in the Transmission Forum). They cover some of the more common problems.

Seems to be ok now

Hey Sticky, thanks for the excellent info. on the transfer case electric motor.
After disassembly, minor cleaning of the armature and replacing the plastic bushing on the back of the large gear, it seems to be working as it should.
God bless you and thanks again. DaveWC
