I've recently started having an issue with the torque converter unlocking, then relocking at certain speeds (around 40 mph, and 65-70 on the highway mainly).
It only seems to unlock in low "load" situations, like coming over the top of a small rise in the road, and lightly lifting off the throttle, then it will unlock.
I pulled the PCM memory fuse and the issue went away for a couple days, but has slowly started to creep back (I was thinking it could be the TPS).
My thoughts are that it is either the EPC solenoid (I have no real shift flare that I can tell) and/or the TCC clutch solenoid.
205,000 miles, presumed to be the original trans - and no flashing O/D light as of yet.
Any other ideas before I go to change those parts?
