Just got back from the A/T shop . They did a road test and code scan. They said the converter is at a very early stage of going bad. There were two codes that were TCC related, one was no lock-up, or stuck open, and the other was the contoller for the TCC, I think, (the saleman wouldn't let me take the write up, but I saw what it said). Also all the shift are soft, and the 2-3 shift happening too late, around 40mph. My question is if I replace the torque converter, and replace the solenoids on the valve body, will this be a worth wile fix, or will I still need a rebuild in a few months? I think I'm realLy hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. I don't really want to spend the $1500 - $2000 on a rebuild right now, but I would like to get a year or two out of it. Any comments would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!
thanks,
Brad
