I have an electrical problem that maybe someone has had before....The fuse for the Automatic door locks, overdrive, back up lights, and the rear window defroster keeps blowing. I hooked a meter up to an old fuse and checked the load and it was about 3 amps with everything on...I think there is a ground somewhere that I need to clear....I had the Explorer on a lift and checked all the harnesses for rubbing ect....all looked OK
The problem reappeared last night.....any ideas would be appreciated....Thanks, Glenn:D

Glenn, my only thoughts would be to check around where any of the wire feeds or grounds might contact metal, or if they are subject to constant flexing/movement.

Maybe to rule out the rear window defroster (it draws a lot when on), unplug it for a while.

Are high wattage brake lights used? Check the brake light switch and its wires since that is used a lot.

That's all I can come up with//
