1997 ford explorer

Hey everyone this is my first post but im in need of some help. Transmission has went out on my 1997 ford explorer 4.0sohc auto 4X4 it has the 5R55E now i know there has to be other years that will interchange other than just 1997 just cant find the info is there any help here.

Up to 01 should work.

TY drdoom that is what i thought it does not matter about Overdrive drum speed sensor right just cut the plug off and twist the 2 wires together and it should work

Yep, just delete that sensor.
