found a 1997 limited v8 w/ 80k miles. how is the reliability of the v8 drivetrain compared to that of my 1st gen? tranny / transfer case? any problems with the 5.0L? i doubt it since all the other 302 applications go for ever. from what i recall from here they are good. can probably get it for under $7000. what do you think?

thanks...

also, is everything standard on a limited? i was looking up the price and they say "add for this, add for that, etc..." but i figure most of the stuff is standard on the limited... thanks again

I'd say go for it. The 5.0 tranny is going to be much more relialbe than the 1st gen tranny. $7000.00 or under doesn't sound like a bad deal to me if it has been well taken care of. Those 302's will run forever.

that sounds like a gret deall to me, as long as their is a clean title on it. no accidents or floods or things of that nature. But 7g's is a great price.

5.0s are da bomb!

got it for $6800... black w/ gray interior. :D

That is an incredible deal!! My bro and dad both have V8 X's (i'm the only 4.0:( ) and those engines crank!!
Congrats!!!!!

yeah..the 5.0's ROCK..my son has a 96 limited 4.0 4x4..i wanted him to have the 4.0..i really don't want to think what kind of trubble he would get in if he had a 5.0..lol
