1998 Ex will not stop running

Hello all,

I have a 1998 Explorer and twice now the engine fails to stop when the ignition is shut off and key removed. Everything else shuts off except engine. Had ignition switch replaced and it happened again. Is there a relay that may be getting stuck every now and then? Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Remote start capability?

One section of the ignition switch controls power to the ignition coil and the PCM power relay. Even if the PCM power relay were sticking closed there would not be any ignition. The most probable source of your problem is still the ignition switch unless you have remote start capability.
