1998 explorer

I am looking at buying a 1998 ford explorer with the 5.0 in it are these good engines it has 110000 miles on it. how is the gas mileage on these. the person is asking 5000 for it good shape good deal or not thanks hunter

5.0 is a good engine. gas mileage isn't great on any explorer compared to a car. i have a 98 4.0 and i get between 15-18 mpg depending how i was driving on a tank.
