1998 Mountaineer lights all turn on with key, stay on long time with key off.

Body work is almost done, putting the pieces back together.

Now it's time to address an issue I noticed soon after bringing it home. All the outside lights turn on when the key is turned on and they stay on for about 5 minutes when the key is turned off.

The headlights aren't on extra dim like daytime running lights, they're on at whichever setting the dimmer switch is on.

How do I get rid of this "feature"?

I'm not sure what you mean by the headlights are on at whichever setting the dimmer switch is on.

The rest sounds like the autolamp feature is turned on. Turn it off at the rear view mirror.

By the way...I understand Coeur d'Alene got drilled with snow yesterday. Pocatello/Idaho Falls too. You guys get any over there?
