Hello,
New to forum. I have a 1998 Explorer XLT with the 5.0 liter and AWD. It has recently started bouncing between the OD and 3rd(?) gear, like it can't make up its mind at about 45-50 mph. Once on the highway, in OD, it seems fine. It also appears OK when I turn off the OD button and drive it. Any ideas on the potential problem and what I can do about it? Car has 128,000 miles and has been very good to this point. Help appreciated.
