1999 4.0 offroad front tires do not spin, and other questions

My 4X4 H and L light up on the dash and I can tell it goes into low as the truck rolls like low should, but when I was in the mud my rear tires got stuck and my front did not spin.

Can this just be a matter of cleaning up the vaccum lines or is this more serious? Can anyone recommend what would be the fix for the vaccum lines? Can they just be replaced?

Also, on the 99 are my axles always spinning?

1999 reverse lights & OD Button

First, I am wondering if my reverse lights not working and my truck not being able to turn off overdrive (button on stearing column) are related.

Anyone ever see this combination before?

From reading this forum I guessing that the reverse lights do not work because of something by the tranny or under the passenger side kick panel.

Any other advise would be greatly appreciated.

One last question, I am wondering what kind of gas mileage people are getting.

I am getting about 13 around town and maybe 15 on the highway. I think this is just the way it is going to be, but any one have ideas on things (other than the normal stuff like plugs) that could be effecting the gas mileage. Are there any fixes or things to look at for this?
