I was helping a friend out today because their fan doesn't seem to be blowing as strong as it should. I took out the resistor and took some readings.
these were the values, I didn't write them down but I remember the ranges
low - 200k range <--that number was huge it surprised me
medium-low 20K range
medium-high 2K range
High -100 ohms...ish
My thought is "High" should be 0 ohms or very close to it, the first two numbers were huge.
My question is what are the resistance specs for this unit? I looked at the forums and couldn't find it. I even called a ford dealership to ask and they didn't even understand me...
I don't want to just buy another if this resistor is still in spec, and later realize its the motor itself.
Can someone help?
