1999 Explorer Ac Compressor Wiring Schematic?

Our 99 Explorer AC stopped working. I have checked the connector that I assume is the pressure switch on the back of the compressor. It has no power on the red wire! When I connect power to the black wire which I assume is connected to the clutch it acts like it's a dead short! Is the clutch coile bad? Is there some where I can find a schematic for it? Any help will be appreciated! David

I have determined that my problem was low refrigerant! I got off on the wrong track because when I found the electrical connection on the back of the compressor I thought it was the low pressure shut-off switch. I looked around the compressor and didn't find any oily areas so I assume that if there's a leak it's somewhere else!

do you know what gas comes standard in the air conditioning unit of the 1999 ford explorer? Mine has run out and I need to get a replacement but no one can tel me which gas to get! Thanks - please email the answer to tim@tjfpersonaltraining.com - i would greatly appreciate it! Thanks
