Please help me find the color codes, I have to replace the headlight switch, which is all the wires behind it . My headlights were not working properly. Removed all that I needed to from dash and whatnot , to find the wires were burnt and corroded all the way to the engine .
I bought a pigtail part …. But the new part only has black and white wires. I have been looking like a crazy woman trying to find which colored wire goes to which white or black wire. I need a picture , diagram where to put what wire .
My New part looks like how I feel …
Please help

I’ll post up the headlight wiring diagram for you hang tight

I don't have a single diagram that shows all headlight switch connections, but I do have 3 separate diagrams showing most of them.
If you want the complete diagrams these came from, they are linked in my sig as 2nd gen wiring diagrams. Within those, these pics came from the following PDF file names:

I don't know how the pins on the switch are numbered. If you hold the switch in the orientation it would be mounted to on the dash, and turn the selector knob to the various positions, that should make or break the circuits shown on these diagrams which you can measure with a multimeter in resistance or continuity mode... or if you look at the back of the switch very closely, there might be numbers molded into the plastic, and of course one of the four corners is going to be contact #1 and then in a row, 2, 3, 4 and so on for the next row, except possibly the two wires for the bulb in the corner of the switch are separate? They are contacts #7 and 8, and you should be able to measure a few ohms resistance between those two contacts no matter what position the switch is set to, assuming it has an incandescent bulb instead of an LED. If it has an LED then the multimeter would be set to diode mode to get a forward drop voltage when the leads are the correct polarity.

He labeled it as multi-function switch, which is a specific different thing, the turn signal level assembly on the steering column, but it looks like the picture is really for the headlamp switch? I can't be certain because what his picture has marked, doesn't make sense for the contact numbers on my diagrams.

Main light switch is listed under power distribution section not under headlights ????
