Danny,

Did you ever figure this out? I am needing to do the same....my truck hasn't run in over a year because of it. I've failed miserably with several quick disconnect kits and can't find a replacement fuel line anywhere! I feel like I've tried every barb, combination of different diameter hoses, fuel injection clamps etc... the nylon braided line to the fuel rail simply will not be clamped. It would be sad for this to be the end of my explorer...I love the car.

Just checking to see if you found a solution. I am needing to do the same thing.

Isn't it just a matter of mating connectors for both ends then a universal hose kit between them? Hose rated for more than 70PSI since your '99+ fuel pressure should be in the '60's?

Yes it is just that simple

OR get parts from junk yard

You can do this in the truck, its a PITA to route the lines, but with the tank dropped out of the way it is possible
I have had to replace a few fuel feed lines in these trucks over the years.... it can be done in the truck, you might have to unbolt some things from the frame rail, on some years there is a metal guard between the lines and the exhaust that can make this a PITA, so that's why it is nice to get stuff from a truck parting out on Craigslist/facebook or the junk yard....you can get everything you need in one shot to make it a bolt in deal

^ Maybe but around here, any local parts pull is probably going to already have enough rust to not be worth the bother. Haubstadt, IN is "little" south of me, so a little milder winters, but not so much, usually sees the same winter fronts that I get 1/2 day later.
