Yesterday on my way to work, I started having some problems with my truck, which is a 99 Ranger 6-cyl, automatic

the ABS light turned on, and has not turned off yet, unless I turn the truck off. Also, the overdrive light now blinks on and off, and doesn't stop unless I turn the truck off. And, the 3rd problem is the speedometer no longer functions, and finally the last problem is the transmission doesn't seem to shift properly anymore, as it seems to slam hard into the next gear when it shifts

All 4 of these things happened simultaneously, what would cause this? I've google'd all of these problems and i've came up with quite a few threads on many other forums, with people exhibiting the same types of symptoms, which most attributed to the ABS Sensor on the rear end. However I came upon another post where someone had these exact problems, replaced his ABS sensor and it didn't solve the speedometer or the hard shifting problem

Any ideas what would've caused this, and can it be fixed without extensive costs?

thanks for any help you can give

ABS Light

Had same problem with 93 ranger, replaced speed sensor to no avail. Found answer on another forum, anyway was told to check rear stops lights, had one blown and the other had a loose connection. Short of story replaced blown bulb made good the connection on the other side and everything works, cruise, trans, and ABS light went off.
Hope this helps
