I have a 93 with auto hubs. I have a wheel bearing going bad and need to know where I can get the special socket for the spindle lock nut. I picked up one at Napa and it is the right style but it is 2.5" and says right on the package it is for f-150/bronco. The guy swears it is the one and doesn't seem very enthusiastic about finding a different one in the catalog. Does anyone have a part # or Source for this socket?

Mine says KD-2467 on it but I have know idea what that number means. It measures 2 3/8.

NAPA has them for 40 DOLLARS!

dont make the mistake i did and only buy it to remove them once to swap for manual hubs :D

I got mine at Kragen for about $12.

They are manual now.

it IS 2-3/8. I got mine at a Southern Auto Store that did a lot of 4WD jobbing... years ago... for about $15 as I recall.

It was 3/4 drive so add another $10 to 15 for a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter

yup the link psoted above is for manual hubs, not the autohubs.... since you have to remove it anyways, jsut swap now and not worry about swapping later... when i converted mine, i jsut used the writeup on our parent site www.explorer4x4.com and beat the nut with a chisel and a hammer
