Could you give me a picture on what the steering box or gear box looks like on a 94 explorer 4x4

i don't have any pics but you can pic up a haynes or chiltons book at most parts stores...they have a lot of helpful info with pics for reference...

Of couse the steering box has a pitman arm attached to it (from AutoZone.com):

The steering box that Ford uses on the Explorers is identical to the one used on all the Rangers, F150s, F250s, BIIs, etc. Same box on all.
 






Well we ended up having Ford take a look at the truck. They found out that on the drivers side the joint by the tire was binding up and throwing the truck in the other lane. They replaced it and now the truck drives like new. Again thanks for the info here. :salute:
