Wanted 1st gen

lookin for a first gen explorer got one now but its got issues and lots of rust, so i dont want to fix that up a lot. going to cali sometime soon, i think. i am going to pick up a car that my grandpa was restoring for me but, he passed and we need to go pick it up. anyway i want to get a diff one for a few hunder dollars, no more than 800 maybe 900. needs to run good and have every thing working(locks, windows, doors exc.), needs to have 4x4, ok with it being stock, paint doesnt need to be good eather, dont realy care about a/c but, the heater has to work i live in iowa, cold winters. dont know the path we will be taking but, most likely it will be I-15 to I-70 to I-76 to I-80 from by LA to council bluffs, iowa.
was looking on craigslist but could no find any thing worth buying, they all had more problems then mine. looked nicer but, more problems.

I know where one is outside of Northwood IA for $500,it's got the rust along the bottom of the drivers side and the gas tank leaks,they have a new tank.I looked at it but I don't know anything other then that.It is actually in Glenville MN about 10 miles north of Northwood.

It's a little used car place and apparently it belonged to the gals mom who passed.
