Well i'm starting to plan out for my next system right now. I have considered either 4 12w3's, 2 12w7s, or 2 15w3s. The problem i have with the 15w3s is that the box for my 12s was already about as high as my back seats, and for the same kinda box (JL HO series) with 2 15w3s would be like 5" higher than that which i think might not look too good. 4 12w3s would be nice to do a custom install with, and a friend of mine has 4 alpine type r 12s in a plexiglass which totally rocked my last 2 12w3s. and of course, 12w7s would be great, but price for everything gets kinda out of hand. what do u guys think?

2 15s... my friend has that in his duster jl 15w3s and they rock in a sealed enclosure

I'd say go wotht he 12w7's thsoe are some great subs. Give them enough power, and they are awesome. I used to have some JLs,a nd they are great speakers.

obviously you're looking for SPL, so i would say get the four 12W3s. that setup would definitely hit the hardest.

get them all!!!!

I would get the 4 12W3s if I had the choice!

2 - 12 W7's if you dont mind the price. They are amazing subwoofers. I would be a box porfessionally made for them though.

whithout a doubt get the 12w7's, they are hands down the best. Just feed them a lot of power and you will rattle your brain. There is a new 1000 watt JL amp, get 2 12w7 and 2 1000 watt JL amps and you are golden

I agree that the 12w7 would rock. I am certified in the W7 by JL and have seen what a W7 would do. It is the only speaker that I have seen that recomends the grill be 4" away from the speaker.
I am planing on a system with a 12 or 13w7 with about 1000w

i agree that the W7s are excellent subwoofers. but i wouldn't say "without a doubt get the 12W7s"

the fact is that the setup with four 12W3s would easily outperform the pair of 12W7s. it all depends on what he is going for. and by the sound of things, he wants SPL.
