Hey Guys,
I read several of the post on this site and determined, with the help of the posters, that I might have an issue with the valve body gasket or bolts. I took the truck to my local mechanic and he pulled the pan and "snugged" the bolts up. He also told me that the gasket looked good from what he could tell.
When I picked the truck up, the mechanic said he hardly tightened the bolts a quarter turn and he doubted that it would work. The good news is that the problem is significantly better. The flare is almost non-existent now. However, I still don't think the tranny is quite right. It still feels a little sluggish shifting between 2 - 3 even though the flare is gone.
Any ideas where I can go from here and is it common for a bolt to be less than a quarter turn loose to cause this 2-3 flare??
Thanks!!
