2-3 upshift flare

I just ordered the servo fix kit. It was expensive but hopefully it will fix the flare.... question if the solenoid pack is sticky will it give me a code? I know the pack can be rebuilt but I dont wanna drop the pan again...

Can’t answer that, but what I thought was a 1-2 or 2-3 upshift flare, was just a missing gear.

edit: by missing gear, I want to say 2nd or 3rd was gone. So it “flared” or rev’d then the next gear “engaged.”

From my understanding that's because the servo is not pressing in the bands to apply the gears... if the gears was junk then the rpms will be really high and then I would get a kick rather than a flare...
