2.3L engine noise

Is it normal for the engine to make some ticking sounds when i first start it? It only lasts a second or so. It usually wont do it if i have driven it within a few hours. Usually does it in the morning after sitting over night. Engine has approximately 115,000 miles. It runs great and has no other issues. Im just wondering what it is and if its normal. Lifters maybe?

Current ford 2.3L's are notorious for ticking. IIRC so are the older ones. It's common in the newer ones.

That makes me feel better. I wasn't really worried about it anyway. If it blows up just gives me an excuse to put a small diesel in it.

I'll make a video of it and post it just to be sure if i can get it to do it again.
