I have a JBL amp 125x2 and I have a pioneer SVC sub. Can I just use only one channel of the amp to power the sub or should I get another sub or should I get a DVC sub? It's been a while since I've been confused about car audio. Thanks for the help.

no no no no no...

you should bridge the amp. look at the amp (or in the manual), it should tell you what terminals to use to bridge it (example: negative form right cahnnel and the positive from the left channel).

Sorry forgot to tell ya it's a 4 channel amp bridged into 2 channels. It's not bridgeable into 1.

so you have a mono rear channel, right? use that for the sub, and keep the front channels stereo and use them to power your front door speakers.

oh I see, why didn't I think of that. Thanks leenjen
