OK, two things here:
1. I'm finally Elite!,
2. I would like to get the skyjacker 2" lift, but it costs 234$ In place of this kit, I found AAL's for 27$, and was jsut going to buy a new coil thats 2" taller, but how i don't know to dtermine what size/part# coil. Anyone recall part numbers or does it even work that way, you just get a spring 2" bigger for 2" of lift? I would think that it wouldn't be an exact ratio. I considered f150 coil seats, but which year do they come from? And is install bolt them in type or requires some fabbing?

Lots of questions in one small paragraph, sorry Thanks

www.summitracing.com $191.95 part #132EXK Skyjacker 2" lift kit

You also need new alignment cams. You can get them from Summit also, but they are expensive. You can find them a little cheaper.

If you want cheap then do the coil spacers & shackels. 2" lift springs are made from spring shops I hear. I never looked. A spring is a spring, any 2" lifted coil spring should work fine.

i think Rock Auto had alighnment cams for cheap

Those springs were 30 bucks cheaper on summit not but 2 weeks ago.

using 2" coil spacers is an alright idea. But you got to think...

i just replaced my stock coils with some leveling springs. My stock ones had sagged by 1.5in's That means putting spacers would have only given me a .5in lift.

that would have been ****.

I think up front Im just gonna go with new springs because they seem soft, but I don't know the exact measurements from when it was new to see how much its dropped, and spacers would jsut compund bad srpings. I am just hesitant to put shackles on with the old leafs, I know someone who said theirs was really bouncy, I am thinking AAL, for only 30 bucks. I wont know until theyre on though, Ive heard of AAL giving very little lift or almost 2, so when theyre on I may add shackles. Comments?

My X only has 85K miles on it. My springs all around were fine. No sag. With the aal's my rear sits 1" higher then the front. I can live with it. Gives me some room if I need to load the rear up with something. The ride is alot harsher. Not so on normal roads, but speed bumps or pot holes make the rear hit & bouce back up very hard. I'm with you I'd rather have new springs up front.

That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks a lot, I wonder why the skyjacker kit is 234$, when I can get explorer comp AAL's for 30 and the springs for 115. The doesnt incluse the shims correct, thats all I can see that would explain the extra cost besides the name. Thanks a lot, great help as always

I got a quote of $115 plus shipping as well...by the way, hello all, I'm Eric from www.extreme4x4shop.com The site is being built...but if there is anything at all you need, email us!!!

That's awesome, yeah I clicked the link and it was under construction, will you guys offer those springs? If so I would like to buy from you, was the 115 from you guys?

scott is cool haha

Just email him scott, i think thats all you gotta do

I appreciate the comment though I am slightly confused. ?

Generally, you don't need different alignment shims unless you go over 2". I would try getting aligned with the stock shims.

will do

Each X is different. Most need them, some do not. My before specs were out more then the stock cams would adjust.

My Bronco 2 only needed 1.

Buy them anyway, & if they are not needed, return them.

Would it be possible to add the 2" lift springs up front AND F-150 spacers to get about 3.5" lift up front?

You won't be able to get it aligned without drop brackets.
