Hmmmm......didn't you just ask that a little while ago? Re-read your thread on shackles and spacers. search !

yes, but im trying to decide wether i should go with the shackles/spacers 2 inch lift or the leveling coils/add-a-leaf 2 inch lift, which do you think is better.
and also, i never got a straight answer on wether or not you need a camber adjustment kit if you do the shackles/spacers lift...after searching

I found a new 2" suspension lift on ebay for $80.00. Don't know if that's a good deal or not being I didn't sop around. Anyway I had a sag in the rear end and wanted to level it out so I put on new shackles with the 2" lift. She really looks good now. After I installed everything, I took it in to get an alignment thinking I was going to need a new camber kit installed. I was getting estimates anywhere from $175.00 to $250.00 to get it done. I took it to NTB and there where able to get it back into spec without a new kit for only $85.00. Appearently the camber kit that was in it was at the end of it's adjustment to compensate for the negetive camber through settling over the years. If your lucky this can happen to you too. Now the only thin I have left to get is a new set of shocks. Good luck.

arg, so you guys are saying both a shackle/spacer lift and a leveling coil/add-a-leaf kit both need a new camber kit possibly?

Maybe, but when I took my 99 Sport in for an alignment (before I added the Warrior shackles) I was told that I would need a new camber kit installed soon too. Either Ford uses a very limited adjustment front end or installing a new camber kit is a great way for alignment shops to make a little extra money.

Ya know.....I was actually told by the dealer I needed camber slugs for my 95 Explorer. But when I took my truck in after I did the torsion lift and shackles they said I really didn't need them at all. The adjustment was fine were they were and don't need any further adjustment. The strange thing he pointed out on the last couple explorers including mine I checked out. If you check carefully through the wheel well there is only an adjustment for caster on the front right wheel but not the front left my question is why is that????

By the way to get back to the subject matter.....lol. I also have seen the kits they sell on Ebay for the 94 and older explorers for 80.00 bucks. I think that definately is the cheapest route to doing a lift by adding spacers and doing the add-a-leaf. But I've heard others talking about adding a leaf to the rear actually makes the truck ride bad or worse since you are slightly altering the rear leafs???!!!

leafs will stiffen up your ride and hurt your flex... if your into that....

Add-a-leafs will stiffen yup your ride, but not unbearable unless you drive on a lot of bad roads, its actually good for road handling, except bad roads again. I had the 1 5/8" f-150 spring seats (spacers) in the front and both add-a-leaf and shackles in the back. The back was slighty higher, I got about an inch each out of the shackles and 1.5" from the add-a-leaf. This will vary with spring condition. For both spacers and coils in the front you will need a camber kit if you don't have one, and even then you'll probably need a different one(cams). You can't go more than 2" with out getting drop brackets. Spacers or coils is a matter of budget and purpose. If its just for looks the f-150 seats or the spacers in the kit on ebay will be fine. New springs might ride nicer and will probably flex a little more, but not much, especially if they are stiffer.
