Id' like to know the cheapest and easiest way to lift my explorer, but I've noticed after doing alot of searching that 97's are the least favorite of any lift kit designer. So my question is, What is out there for a 97 that is cheap and easy to use to lift my EX.

Thanx.

Torsion twist and shackles(or AAL)

Cheapest and EASIEST way...BL can be a PITA. ;)

do what i did, 3 body lift, shackles, aal, tt. it came to a grand total of $292.50.

I already had tires, and i bought rims so add 220, then gears...add 200...oh crap..i never realized i spent that much. argh. Now i know where my money went.

Where would I locate a BL for a 97?

You have to use one for a 97(?) Ranger. The part number is on the site somewhere. Use the search feature and you'll find all the stuff you need to know about putting the Ranger BL on yours.

well i got a 97 you got a 97 and my signature does say the part number. Its #853. us 95-97 guys have to buy that as the 98-newer(#833) has a different steering shaft set up. Word of advise when you do your body lift......release the fan shroud from its mounts!!
