I am going to order the Explorer Pro Comp add-a-leafs to get about a 1.5" lift in the rear and then twist the torsion bars up to match. I know there are a million questions like these already in other threads, but I wasn't able to find exactly what I wanted to know by searching so here goes...

#1 My dad just got me a complete set of Monroe Reflex shocks for Christmas. I was wondering if it would be okay to use these shocks or would they bottom out or anything like that with the lift? I really don't want to return his present unless I absolutely have too.

#2 After adding the extra springs in the back, how do I know how much to twist the bars up front to keep everything level? And then what happens when I get my grilleguard when I get my taxes back? Twist some more?

#3 I have read that some of you have had to do a 1" body lift to fit 31x10.50's without any rubbing at all. Even if I only back up over a big bump while at full turn once a year, that is still one time a year to often for me to accept rubbing. Will the suspension lift take care of this?

Thanks for your time and help.
ps I won't be going any higher than 1.5" or any bigger than 31's (my dad says NO!) so trying to tell me go bigger and higher won't do any good. :-(

I put the 31's on mine with no suspension mods. I had to do a little trimming of the front bumper cover to take care of some minor rubbing, but other than that I have had no problems. I haven't looked too closely at the bumper, but the '95 probably won't have the same problem that I did. I think the lower inside of the bumper curves in more on the '99 than it does on the 95-98 models. I would say that you shouldn't have any rubbing problems at all if you do the suspension lift.
