I've seen ads for "performane chips" that will improve reformance etc.
I'm curious to see whether or not my ST has been upgraded Where exactly is the "computer chip" located?

Previous owner had a remote starter installed, bu it was disabled by the dealer. I'm told most alram/remote start sytems need a key placed somewhere in the car for it to work.

Is there a standard location for this that I should check first??

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, there is no "chip" for late-model Sport Tracs. What you can get is a tuner that plugs into the OBD II port on the dash. If it was there it would be pretty obvious.
