2000 Eddie Bauer- issues with clock & radio view

I have a 2000 explorer and am having issues with the radio and clock- specfically viewing the time and channel when on. The display is sometimes viewable, sometimes very dim and currently has no display. The radio and CD player are working fine, I just can't see anything on the display

Is this a known issue to anyone? Is it a fuse or a faulty radio?

I believe it is an issue with the radio display itself, i believe there is a fix you can do your self or have someone do for about 60 bucks or so. Try doing a search, i believe it has been discussed before.
