i just bought a 00 xlt with no motor in it, the guy i got it from had a motor he bought for it. Now my question is the truck has one line running from the module to the fuel rail and the motor has 2 lines on it with a regulator. Can i take the fuel lines off the motor and hook up the ones with the truck on that with no regulator, any help would be appreciated i am in kinda a time crunch need to have it done by saturday

returnless fuel system

Your 2000 body has a returnless fuel system with the fuel pressure regulator in the fuel tank. Apparantly the engine you have is an earlier one (1997 thru 1998) that uses the return type fuel system with the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. Your 2000 PCM expects the higher pressure (60 to 65 psi) system feeding the fuel injectors and adjusts the injector pulse width accordingly. I suspect that you'll need the 1999+ fuel rails to make your engine work.

If you have the SOHC V6 your older engine probably has the variable induction system which is not supported by the 2000 PCM.

can i just unhook the fuel lines at the rails and hook my line up it looks like they will bolt right up
