2000 Explorer XLS 4X4
Hey Guys, i've enjoyed reading through the forum. I've already did alot of searching before asking about the lift.

I'm aware that they dont make a body lift for my year explorer. I understand I need one from a ranger. I'm looking at 3-4" lift. Plus i'm interested in doing the TT. My question is which place is the best one to get the body lift at? Also my explorer is a 4 door/4x4. Is there any modding involed in order to make the ranger body lift work? Any info would be appericated. Thanks for your help in advance.

:D

you didn't search to well. The body lift is a 883 kit from Performance Accessories and I believe you can get it from 4wheelparts. Also, a rear bumper bracket will need to be fabricated to achieve the right height. Other than that it bolts right up. If your doing the TT then you'll need Add-a-leafs or Shackles in the rear. Good luck and welcome!

Thanks,

I did the best search I could while I was at work lol Thanks for the info

3 Inch lift

The 3 inch lift requires a steering column extension. If you purchase a Performace Accessories 883 Kit it will be included. The kit also contains a bracket for the front bumper and on a 98 it works fine. The bracket for the rear bumper is not even close.

You can purchase the kit along with other Ex accessories at Dead Link Removed

use the filters and remember to select ranger. You will find all you need to know.

Have fun.. :D
