2000 ohc wont start

colintrax - good call. I'm not the original poster, but am having similar issue with 00 5.0L V8 AWD. I did check battery terminals, and the ground terminal for some reason has excessively rapid corrosion buildup. Even over the course of a week or two the buildup is noticeable...

In a week you can see corrosion??? Something isn't right. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about electrical systems can chime in.
My 97 doesn't have any corrosion, and I haven't cleaned the terminals since I got the battery 2 years ago.
 






I wonder if I am using the right term, but it's the powdery, white-ish, blue-ish color stuff. Have to use a wire brush to clean it all off. I'm wondering why it is coming back. Maybe the wrong type of screw (metal) causing a galvanic reaction?? Or is that symptomatic of a battery issue?
 






Got it fixed, had to tow it to the ford dealer.
The key went bad, they cut me 2 new keys and programmed the computer to them, $150.
