2000 ranger 3.0L showing 13 codes

2000 ford ranger xlt 3.L
Morning all, I'm R.O and I have an issue with my 3.0L ranger showing 13 codes. It has a very slow takeoff until it gets to 35 mph then it runs great as usual. I took it to a mechanic and he told me there is a short somewhere in the electrical system.
Have you ever experienced something like this? If so , what action should I take to fix this?

What are the codes? We need waaaaaay more information.
 






P0135. P1000
P0141. P1409
P0155. P1451
P0743
P0750. P1747
P0755. P1754
P0760
 












And these all appeared suddenly, at the same time?
 






I’d disconnect the PCM and clean/dielectric grease the connector (all the connectors you can get to, while you’re at it.)

The bulk of your codes are transmission codes. Some O2 sensors. A few emissions. I’d visually inspect those wire harnesses the best you can...look for any chafing, melting, etc.

The slow start makes me wonder if the truck is in some sort of ‘limp’ mode, due to these codes?

You can try disconnecting the battery to reset the PCM. Could’ve been a rare PCM freakout. Or a bad PCM is always a possibility. Long shot, but possible.
 


















Check the engine harness going to the transmission. Most of those codes are transmission/o2 sensor related. I'd look on the back side of the engine to see if part of the harness is pinched or touching the exhaust. Check those connections for corrosion.
 






Yeah. I don’t have a Ranger, but I’d bet those wire bundles all go down as one before branching off. May even go through the same connector behind the block. It’s been years since I’ve played around back there.

My bets? Either...

-Corrosion, loose connection, or water intrusion in one of those connectors
-Wire bundle going toward trans/exhaust melted/chafed
-Bad PCM
