$2000 to fix A/C???

Here's a great place for AC tools: http://mvpro.com/mall/ac_tools_6.asp

V8 is right on.... if your compressor is crumped.... you will definitely need to replace the O tube, and SHOULD replace the accumulator.... he did an excellent write up of his job.

If your going to try the 12v test as mentioned before DONT do what i did a few hours ago. That is leave it on their when its making a god awful noise, It turned for about 1 and a half minuites before it seized up lol. Maybe it was low on fefrigerent i dunno, never made any cold in that 1 and a half

I guess that it must be seized--strange--I have never seen a ford one seize--only the cute Gm ones. I wonder if it may still have a partial charge? That could hold it back. Hope you get it going Joker. By thee way---was passing a car the other day and just as I passed this toyota echo--I hit a big bump, All I saw was a cloud of dust and the tire flipping end over end. Luckily it hit the road and flipped over the other car. The holding bolt where the spare sits underneath broke. It had rusted completely through. The tire is floating in a swamp. Just thought you and others may want to check theirs. If I had needed it it would never have come off.
