2000 XLT overhead console

I need to replace the lighting unit inside the overhead console on my 2000 xlt. I can't seem to figure out how to remove the plastic "skin" that conceals the inside of the console. Anyone have a hint or can point me in the right direction where it describes how to do this? I already have the replacement lamp module.

Hmm that's good question. Let me go check my XLT and see what's the deal. I don't remember there being a plastic skin...
