2001 Explorer Sport Fog Lights

I have a 2001 Explorer Sport and it originally did not come with fog lights. I had to cut out the holes and put some aftermarket fog lights from Autozone in there. I recently ordered Spindlecone's set of Fog lights and brackets he had purchased for his Sport Trac and I am going to put them in my Explorer Sport. My question is, what is the bulb model number or size and is it possible to put HID bulbs into the fog lights? I have 10,000k headlights right now. I would love for them to match.

I'm not sure of the type of bulbs that a Sport Trac has in the fogs but I'm sure you could somehow fit HID in there. However you would get a beam that is a blob of light and probably be very offensive. The fog optics will never handel the output of HID lumens. Not gonna happen. Just find some "HID like" bulbs that match.

I will look into it. Do you really think it would be that bad? I thought they would have made a smaller hid bulb for smaller applications and it would not be as bright.

i think it's an H1 bulb, maybe H3.

As far as matching the color of the HIDs, go for luminics bulbs.
