The stock radio/CD player has an issue that is annoying. When playing a CD, sometimes the speakers cut out back and fourth from right to left. It doesn't happen with the radio, just the CD. It seems like something is loose inside. Has anyone had such an issue?

I haven't.

hmm, haven't experienced this problem but I'd start with checking all the wires to the speakers and behind the head unit making sure every thing is connected properly, lose wires can cause sound to cut out than back in, not sure why its only happening with cd's could be that there may be more bass in the cd's your playing vs songs on the radio

Thanks for the reply. I will check the cables and all but it seems that the issue is with something internal. When you hit a bump it can cause the sound to go from one side or the other, only when playing a CD. I tried cleaning the optics but that doesn't seem to help. I guess I will have to remove the unit and take a look. I have the tool to release the front of the unit, is there a bolt on the back?
